The Polresta of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Criminal Investigation Unit uncovered the theft of Lululemon Athletica branded bags from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport cargo warehouse.
progresifjaya.co.id, TANGERANG – Three bandits involved in the organized theft of original Canadian Lululemon Athletica branded bags from the airport cargo hold were arrested by the Polresta of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Criminal Investigation Unit. The three bandits are identified by the initials R alias K, A, and F.
Kapolresta of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Kombes Pol Wisnu Wardana stated in a statement, that the three bandits were arrested in Karawaci, Tangerang City, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at around 12:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. They were arrested after police received a report of missing export goods belonging to PT Pungkook Indonesia One. Police then conducted an investigation by reviewing CCTV footage in the RA BST and Soewarna Warehouse areas at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
The Head of the Polresta Soekarno-Hatta Airport Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Yandri Mono added, that the case began when PT Pungkook Indonesia One received a notification from a customer in Shanghai, China, regarding the disappearance of 108 bags shipped via Garuda Indonesia cargo. During the investigation, 40 cartons were discovered to have been deliberately separated during X-ray inspection.
“So that was the work of a bandit with the initials F. He played a role in arranging for the 40 cartons to be separated from inspection and placed into a box truck,” said Kompol Yandri.
Meanwhile, bandit R, also known as K, is suspected of being the mastermind and executor of the theft. Bandit A assisted in the theft. Preliminary investigations also revealed that the 80 stolen bags were sold to a fence with the initials BO for Rp300.000 each.
“The thefts were small in number, but they occurred frequently and were never reported. They have been occurring since 2024. These three bandits became addicted,” Kompol Yandri further explained.
To prevent a recurrence of thefts like this, Kompol Yandri has urged all parties within the airport cargo area to increase oversight of export goods distribution. Investigators are also investigating the possibility of other perpetrators being involved in the syndicate.
