progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polres Metro of East Jakarta Criminal Investigation Unit has named a married couple, RM and ER, the owners of Marwah wedding organizer (WO) in Jakarta Garden City (JGC), East Jakarta, as fraud suspects. The two are suspected of defrauding dozens of prospective brides and grooms, resulting in a total loss of Rp2,6 billion.

This criminal activity was first uncovered by the confessions of Aldi (32) and Feny (32). They claimed to be victims of alleged fraud by Marwah wedding organizer in East Jakarta, resulting in losses of Rp85,5 million. The incident involving Aldi and Feny subsequently went viral on social media.

Marwah wedding organizer allegedly fled before the event. The wedding organizer’s office, located at JGC, was completely empty leading up to the wedding.

According to Feny, she used Marwah’s services after seeing a promotion on Instagram.

At that time, she was interested in the wedding package offered. Afterward, she made a down payment (DP). After the initial payment, Feny and her partner, Aldi, then participated in a food tasting session held by the wedding organizer.

At the event, Feny said she saw many staff members working, including decoration vendors, makeup artists (MUAs), and master of ceremonies (MCs), as well as samples of the wedding stage and buffet.

Afterward, the couple underwent a wedding dress fitting at the wedding organizer’s office in the Jakarta Garden City (JGC) area of ​​Cakung.

Payments for the wedding organizer’s services continued in installments until they were paid in full in early April 2026. They even added another guest list on May 11, 2026.
