Ardila Amry, hold a press conference regarding the crackdown on the illegal distribution of hard drugs in Bekasi.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) has cracked down on the illegal distribution of List G drugs in Bekasi. The two suspects, suspected of possessing and distributing the illegal drugs, were arrested in the raid.

The crackdown was announced publicly by the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, along with the Director of Special Criminal Investigation, Kombes Pol Viktor Dean Mackbon, and the Head of Sub-Directorate I of Indag, AKBP Muh.  Ardila Amry during a press conference at the Polda Metro Jaya Public Relations Building on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

The case reportedly began with widespread reports on social media about the illegal sale of hard drugs such as Tramadol, Hexymer, and Trihexyphenidyl in the Bekasi area. Sub-Directorate I of the Trade and Industry (Indag) of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Ditreskrimsus followed up on these reports with investigations and monitoring of several locations suspected of being used for the storage and distribution of illegal drugs.

Based on the investigation, officers then conducted raids at two different locations on April 7, 2026. The first location was on Jalan Melati Raya, Kampung Rawa Bambu Number 2, Kalibaru Village, Medan Satria District, Bekasi City.

At that location, officers restrained suspect TM, also known as Teuku Muktawali (26), and then placed him in a sack.  The second raid took place at Jalan Irigasi No. 122, Harapan Jaya Village, North Bekasi District, Bekasi City.

From this location, suspect SN, also known as Syakban Nuddin (24), who was restrained, was also taken to a jail cell. These two suspects were arrested because they are suspected of storing, possessing, and distributing various types of illegal hard drugs, which were freely sold without official permits.

During this raid, officers also seized a large quantity of evidence, including 146.000 white Double Y pills, 33.325 suspected Hexymer pills, 14.304 yellow pills, 4.500 plain white pills, 8.830 suspected Trihexyphenidyl pills, and 3.450 pharmaceutical preparations in plain packaging, along with sales proceeds of Rp1.257.000.

The Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Viktor Dean Mackbon explained in a statement, that the two perpetrators distributed illegal drugs without a permit through deception, namely by opening a cosmetics kiosk as a disguise.

“The cosmetic products were displayed in the window to deceive the public and authorities. However, behind this, they were selling hard drugs illegally,” said Kombes Pol Viktor Dean Mackbon.

He also explained, that in addition to direct sales, the perpetrators also marketed the drugs through online platforms.  The shipments were made using courier services with fake sender identities and cash on delivery (COD) systems at specific locations to avoid detection by authorities.

This distribution pattern, continued Kombes Pol Viktor Dean Mackbon, shows that their illicit practices are organized and exploiting developments in digital technology to expand their illegal sales network.

At the same time, the Head of Sub-Directorate I of Indag, AKBP Muh. Ardila Amry, also added. He reminding the public about the dangers of prescription drugs like Trihexyphenidyl and Hexymer. She also explained that these drugs are in the anticholinergic class and must be used under a prescription and under a doctor’s supervision.

“Misuse of these drugs can cause pseudo-euphoria and hallucinations. The effects are very dangerous, ranging from permanent cognitive impairment, overdose, coma, and even death,” he explained.

To be held accountable for their actions, the two perpetrators were charged under Article 435 in conjunction with Article 138 paragraphs (2) and (3), and Article 436 of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health.  Both face a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison and a fine of up to Rp5 billion.
