Heru Deaz Royan Satria (44) died after falling from the seventh floor of an apartment in Depok City, allegedly in an attempt to escape due to a counterfeit stamp case.

progresifjaya.co.id, DEPOK – A man named Heru Deaz Royan Satria (44) died after falling from the 7th floor of Saladin Apartment in Depok City on Friday afternoon, June 26, 2026.

Heru Deaz’s death occurred when police officers from the Polda Metro Jaya’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate were about to arrest the victim, who was suspected of being involved in a counterfeit stamp case.

According to information gathered, at around 11:00 a.m. WIB, an apartment security guard named M. Feryansyah was asked to accompany Polda Metro Jaya officers led by Iptu Alvin Sinaga to the victim’s room on the seventh floor. Upon arriving at the room, the witness knocked on the door and introduced himself as a security guard.

From inside the room, the victim replied, “Wait a minute, i’ll pray in a minute.” However, moments later, a loud crash was heard from below the building.

Upon arrival, the victim was found lying dead on the ground floor of the apartment. The witness immediately contacted the Bhabinkamtibmas (Community Police Officer) for assistance.

Police officers who arrived at the scene immediately conducted a crime scene investigation to determine the exact cause of death. The body was then evacuated for further processing.

Based on the witness’s initial statement, the victim was reportedly being sought by members of the Polda Metro Jaya for alleged involvement in a counterfeit stamp case. Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim attempted to escape by jumping from the seventh floor of the apartment upon noticing the officers’ arrival.

Police are still investigating the sequence of events, including determining the cause of death and its connection to the case at hand.
