Strengthening Organizational Structure, Polri Rotate Positions from Main Officers at Polri Headquarters, Kapolda to Wakapolda

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polri has again rotated and promoted positions within the Polri as part of its organizational reform and strengthening of its task implementation. The rotations were outlined in a telegram from the Kapolri issued on June 25, 2026, and announced on Friday, June 26, 2026.
This rotation includes changes to several strategic positions, including the Main Officers (PJU) at Polri Headquarters, Regional Police Chiefs (Kapolda), and Deputy Chiefs (Wakapolda).
In the PJU ranks at Polri Headquarters, Brigjen Pol Didi Hayamansyah was promoted to Head of the Polri Research and Development Center.
Meanwhile, at the regional leadership level, the Kapolda appointed two new Kapolda, Brigjen Pol Ruddi Setiawan as the Kapolda of Aceh and Brigjen Pol Yulius Audie Sonny Latuheru as the Kapolda of Southwest Papua.
In addition, three officials have been entrusted with the duties of Wakapolda, Kombes Pol Iwan Saktiadi as Wakapolda of Banten, Brigjen Pol Arif Budiman as Wakapolda of Maluku, and Kombes Pol Fernando Sanches Napitupulu as Wakapolda of Southwest Papua.
This reshuffle also includes promotions for 190 positions as Kapolres, Ta/Metro/Tabes, including the establishment of a new Polresta (Regional Police Station) in the Indonesian Capital Region (IKN), the establishment of four Type D Polres, and the elevation of eight Type D Polres to Polresta status as part of strengthening regional police services.
Furthermore, 45 female police officers received promotions, including 17 who were entrusted with the position of Kapolres IIIA2.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the Polri, Irjen Pol Johnny Eddizon Isir stated, that the reshuffle is part of the organizational dynamics aimed at maintaining performance continuity and increasing the effectiveness of police duties.
“Job rotation is a normal occurrence within the Polri organization, as a form of refreshment and career development for personnel. Through this rotation, it is hoped that newly appointed officers can adapt quickly, strengthen organizational solidarity, and improve the quality of service, protection, and law enforcement for the public,” said Irjen Pol Johnny Eddizon Isir in a statement in Jakarta on Friday, June 26, 2026.
He added, that the formation of new regional units, including the Police in the New Capital City (IKN) area, is part of the Polri’s efforts to adapt the organization’s needs to regional developments and increasingly dynamic task challenges.
According to him, the promotion of dozens of female police officers also demonstrates the Polri’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for all personnel based on competence and professionalism.
“Strengthening the organization is not only carried out through job rotation, but also through restructuring the regional structure and developing human resources. We want to ensure that every position is filled by the best personnel so that the Polri becomes more precise in providing services to the public,” concluded Irjen Pol Johnny Eddizon Isir.
