progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The issue of honorary and part-time PPPK in the regions was one of the topics discussed at the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Commission II meeting today, Thursday, July 30, 2026. The management of PPPK appointments was also discussed to improve the process to prevent backlogs.

This statement was made by Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, after attending a Commission II meeting with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) and the Association of Indonesian Regency Governments (APKASI) at the House of Representatives building in Senayan, Jakarta, today.

He stated, that the House remains consistent in holding meetings during recess to discuss pressing issues.

“The DPR holds meetings during recess as needed. Today, Commission II met with APKASI and the Ministry of Home Affairs to discuss the fiscal situation. Several issues were also discussed, including regional inflation, regional development, revenue-sharing funds, remuneration, and proposals to the government through Commission II of the DPR RI,” explained Sufmi Dasco.

He also stated, that the meeting also discussed the issue of PPPK (Commissioned Personnel Officers), a long-standing complaint among regional governments. This included salary payments.

“Yes, that also included the PPPK issue, which we have already discussed with the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) and the Minister of Home Affairs to further regulate its governance going forward,” he said.

He noted, that employee appointments often take place after regional elections. This situation, he explained, must be evaluated to prevent new problems in the regions.

“Well, the authorities granted to regional heads may also need to be improved in their governance to prevent an accumulation of honorary or part-time PPPK in the regions,” he explained.
