Hundreds of firearms, ammunition and porn videos were found in a private school in Pondok Pinan, South Jakarta.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A total of 995 firearms and ammunition, bullet making tools, porn video tapes, and suspected drugs were found in a room and a closed bunker belonging to a private school in Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.
The chronology of this discovery began on Friday – Saturday, 10 – 11 July 2026 when the school foundation wanted to open a room that had been locked until now to take the needs of students. The room used to be occupied by the former Chairman of the Foundation Board with initials IWD who has been fired.
Because the key was brought by IWD, the room had to be opened by force with police officers from the South Jakarta Metro Police. This is where the story of 995 firearms was found.
The next search was conducted on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Based on the development, the officers searched again and found a hidden bunker under the school building. From this search, additional firearms, long and short barrels, silencers, and thousands of ammunition were found.
The school’s legal authority, Hermawanto, and the school’s expert team, Untung Sangaji, in their explanation said, that the seized evidence included original firearms, air guns (air guns/airsoft guns), Walther, M4 carbines, and 5,56 caliber, 40 caliber, and 9 mm caliber weapons.
Then military equipment, namely ammunition of various calibers, magazines, silencers, and machine tools for making bullets. Also found were 25 pornographic VCD cassettes as well as suspected narcotic substances such as shabu and ganja.
All the weapons and prohibited items were found in the privacy area belonging to the former chairman of the foundation (IWD) and had nothing to do with the students’ teaching and learning activities.
Until now, Polres Metro of South Jakarta investigators are still investigating the discovery of the firearm. Public Relations Officer of the Polres Metro of South Jakarta, AKP Joko Adi Wibowo said, that the investigators have made a model A report for the investigation.
“Polres Metro of South Jakarta have made a Police Report model A which was made shortly after the incident in question was discovered. The matter is currently under investigation,” said AKP Joko confirmed via short message, Thursday, August 6, 2026.
The hundreds of firearms are now handed over to Wasendak Polda Metro Jaya.
About IWD
The man with the initials IWD, who is suspected to be the owner of hundreds of firearms, is known to be the former Chairman of the Foundation of a private school in Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.
He served as Chairman of the Foundation Board for 15 years before finally being dismissed on April 18, 2026.
He was fired for allegedly misusing the foundation’s finances for personal gain, including the purchase of land in his wife’s name.
The legal case and dispute over the termination of this position is still being handled by the police and is pending in the Central Jakarta District Court.
