As part of their preparations, the club—nicknamed the Banten Warriors—is scheduled to host the Australian A-League side Brisbane Roar in an international friendly match on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

However, to maintain tactical secrecy and allow both coaches to focus fully, the match at Banten International Stadium (BIS) will be held behind closed doors, without spectators.

For Dewa United, this match represents a crucial opportunity to refine their game strategy and team cohesion before the new Super League season kicks off in early September.

“The match against Brisbane Roar FC will be held behind closed doors and is not open to the public. Dewa United urges all #AnakDewa fans not to come to the match venue and to give the team space to play the match in accordance with the applicable regulations,” stated the official announcement from Dewa United management via Instagram on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

On the opposing side, Brisbane Roar is taking its tour of Indonesia seriously. Michael Valkanis’s squad has arrived with a full-strength roster of 26 players, including their star signing, former South Korea national team player Nam Tae-hee. The Australian team is using this cross-border fixture as a warm-up ahead of the official start of the A-League season in mid-October.

The match against Dewa United marks the opening of Brisbane Roar’s 2026 Indonesia Tour agenda. Two days after the match in Banten, the Bakrie Group-affiliated club will head straight to the capital to face Persija Jakarta at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
