Polda Metro Jaya Policewomen warmly greet and distribute food and drinks to demonstration participants.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA — A number of Policewomen (Polwan) and other Polda Metro Jaya personnel greeted citizens voicing their aspirations in front of the DPR/MPR RI building in Jakarta on Thursday, August 27, 2026. They also distributed food and drinks to the participants gathered at the site to express their views.

Carrying boxes of food, the policewomen approached participants who were sitting and resting. Food and drinks were handed out directly as part of the police service provided during the expression of aspirations.

This interaction fostered a warm atmosphere between the officers and the participants. Several participants were seen accepting the food while chatting with the personnel on site.

Polda Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated, that this activity was part of the police force’s humanistic approach. Officers were not merely maintaining order but also providing services to ensure the public could express their opinions safely and comfortably.

“Our fellow citizens present here are those voicing their aspirations. This food and drink represent our care and sense of togetherness. We want these aspirations to be conveyed in a safe, orderly, and peaceful atmosphere,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.

Furthermore, Kombes Pol Bhudi urged all participants to maintain a calm atmosphere, avoid being easily provoked, and follow the directions of officers in the field.

“Expressing one’s opinion is the constitutional right of every citizen. Let us work together to ensure the activity proceeds in an orderly and peaceful manner. The Polri safeguards democracy for the public,” he added. (Bembo)
