Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri visits injured police officers.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Demonstrating deep empathy, Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri offered support and encouragement to two police personnel and an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver currently undergoing treatment at Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. All three sustained injuries during events following a public demonstration near the House of Representatives (DPR RI) complex on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

The Kapolda visited the victims individually to personally check on their condition. He spoke with the victims and their families, inquiring about their treatment progress and encouraging them to remain strong throughout their recovery.

The two officers still receiving treatment are Bripda Aslam Sarofi of the Polda Metro Jaya Ditsamapta and Briptu Frans Adong of the Metro Jaya Police Water and Air Police Directorate (Ditpolair). Both were injured while performing security duties and continue to receive care and monitoring from the medical team.

Meanwhile, the injured online motorcycle taxi driver visited by Kapolda Asep Edi was Rizal. The Kapolda expressed his concern and offered support to Rizal and his family during the recovery process.

“We are here to offer encouragement to our fellow citizens who are still undergoing treatment. We hope for their speedy recovery so they can reunite with their families and resume their normal activities,” said Kapolda Asep Edi.

He expressed hope, that the treatment process for the three victims would proceed smoothly and that all their medical needs would be met until they fully recover. He also extended his support to the families who have been faithfully accompanying the victims during their healing process.

Kapolda Asep Edi’s visit also served as a gesture of care for every victim, regardless of their background. Safety and recovery remain the top priority, both for personnel injured in the line of duty and for members of the public affected by the incident. (Bembo)
