
Deputy Chief of Polda Metro Jaya, Dekananto Eko Purwono, officially promoted to a two-star rank (Irjen Pol).
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Deputy Chief of the Polda Metro Jaya (Wakapolda Metro Jaya), Dekananto Eko Purwono, has officially been promoted to a two-star rank. Consequently, Dekananto now holds the rank of Irjen Pol.
This promotion is based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 82/POLRI/2026, dated September 1, 2026, regarding promotions to and within the rank of High-Ranking Police Officers.
In addition to the Deputy Chief, several other key officials within the Polda Metro Jaya also received new ranks, notably, the Head of the Regional Police Inspectorate (Irwasda), Sri Satyatma, was promoted to the rank of Brigjen Pol.
The promotion ceremony was held at the Polri Headquarters on Jalan Trunojoyo, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on the morning of Wednesday, September 2, 2026, and was presided over by the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
Rank adjustments also took place within the Polda Metro Jaya’s Operations Bureau and the General Planning and Budget Bureau (Rorena). Currently, the Head of the General Planning and Budget Bureau (Karorena) is held by Brigjen Pol Teguh Tri Sasongko, while the Head of the Operations Bureau (Karo Ops) is held by Brigjen Pol Laode Aries El Fathar.
These promotions are part of career development and organizational dynamics within the Polri. They also represent a mandate and responsibility that must be carried out with increased professionalism and integrity, while delivering the best possible service to the community.
The officials who received these promotions will continue to carry out their respective duties and responsibilities within the Polda Metro Jaya.
