progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Korlantas Polri is currently busy working smartly to develop a new breakthrough related to the motor vehicle identification system. In future projections, this identification system will utilize a centralized connection pattern with the national system. It is also projected that this pattern will function to support traffic policy analysis and digital-based public oversight.

The Director of Registration and Identification (Regident) Korlantas Polri, Brigjen Pol Wibowo explained in a written statement, that the use of this pattern will automatically connect all motor vehicle data and driver identities directly to the national system.

“It’s important to remember that digital transformation is not the ultimate goal, but rather a means towards a modern, transparent, and humane Polri. We at the Korlantas Polri also ask all ranks to be committed to clean, integrated, and community-oriented registration services. That’s it,” explained Brigjen Pol Wibowo while giving directions to all Regional Police Traffic Directors (Dirlantas) on Tuesday, (11/11) yesterday.

He also stated, that the integration of motor vehicle and driver data is one of the Polri reform efforts, particularly in the public service sector. Therefore, he emphasized that all ranks must fully understand that public service packaged with transparent integrity is the starting point for the Polri’s transformation.

“So, never assume that the smart work of this breakthrough is merely a system overhaul. In fact, its projection is more comprehensive because it also brings cultural integrity and accountability to all service lines,” he said.

Furthermore, the one-star general, who served three terms as Director of Traffic cited the launch of digital applications for driver’s licenses (SIM), Sinar, and vehicle registration certificate (STNK) renewals, Signal, as examples.

These two digital platforms are part of the Polri’s public service efforts. This platform also promises to ensure that the SIM and STNK renewal processes are faster, more efficient, and more transparent.

“We want to provide public services that are more accessible, efficient, and free from extortion. The revitalization of the Ditregident is one form of reform of the Polri’s services to increase public trust,” he emphasized. (Bembo)
