Polres of Kuningan uncover over a dozen cases ranging from narcotics offenses to illegal street racing during the period of July to September 2026.

progresifjaya.co.id, KUNINGAN — The Polres of Kuningan successfully solved over a dozen criminal cases—ranging from narcotics offenses to aggravated motorcycle theft—within the Kuningan Regency jurisdiction during the period of July to September 2026.

Regarding narcotics and restricted pharmaceutical drug offenses, the Polres of Kuningan Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) apprehended 22 suspects across 12 separate cases.

Evidence seized during these operations included 28 packets of crystal methamphetamine weighing a total of 18,12 grams, 34 psychotropic pills, and 7.273 pills classified as restricted or over-the-counter pharmaceutical drugs.

Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Unit’s (Satreskrim) Quick Response Team (URC), working alongside local sector police (Polsek), successfully apprehended perpetrators of aggravated motorcycle theft and recovered several stolen motorcycles as evidence.

These details were announced by Kapolres of Kuningan, AKBP Bellen Anggara Pratama, accompanied by Wakapolres, Kompol Eryda Kusumah and various unit heads, during a press conference at the Polres of Kuningan Headquarters on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

In his statement, AKBP Bellen Anggara Pratama explained, that this firm enforcement action reflects the Polres of Kuningan commitment to maintaining public order, protecting the community from criminal threats, and curbing the illicit drug trade.

“Between July and September 2026, the Polres of Kuningan Narcotics and Criminal Investigation Units successfully solved a variety of criminal cases—ranging from 12 narcotics and restricted drug cases involving 22 suspects to instances of aggravated motorcycle theft,” said AKBP Bellen.

“We successfully seized evidence including tens of grams of crystal methamphetamine, thousands of restricted pharmaceutical pills, and stolen vehicles. We also want to ensure there is no room for criminals or drug trafficking within the jurisdiction of the Polres of Kuningan,” he added.

On this occasion, Kapolres Bellen also urged the public to remain vigilant, ensure the security of their private vehicles when parked, and avoid all forms of drug abuse.

If members of the public observe or become aware of suspicious activity, they should immediately report it to the nearest police station so that prompt action can be taken.

Suspects involved in narcotics and restricted pharmaceutical offenses are charged under Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, Law No. 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropics, and Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health. The maximum penalty is life imprisonment.

Meanwhile, perpetrators of aggravated theft are charged under Article 477 of Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP), which carries a maximum prison sentence of seven years.

Additionally, Kapolres Bellen revealed the success of the Polres of Kuningan Traffic Unit in thwarting illegal street racing. A total of 22 teenagers suspected of involvement and 15 motorcycles were secured.

Regarding violations involving loud, non-standard exhausts (knalpot brong), the Traffic Unit has conducted raids in several locations. Data from the unit shows that 191 traffic citations were issued throughout August 2026, these consisted of 173 enforcement actions for non-standard exhausts and 18 violations related to vehicle license plates (TNKB).
