Polres of Sukabumi Seize KDMP Logistics Truck Carrying 100 Jerricans of Pertalite Hidden Under Rice Grain Sacks

A truck bearing the logo of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative (KDMP) is transporting over 100 jerrycans filled with Pertalite, with part of the load covered by sacks of unhusked rice.
progresifjaya.co.id, SUKABUMI – A truck bearing the logo of the Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (KDMP—Red and White Village Cooperative) has been impounded at the Polres of Sukabumi Headquarters. The white vehicle was discovered transporting over 100 jerricans filled with Pertalite fuel, with part of the cargo concealed beneath sacks of unhusked rice (grain).
Beneath the load, which appeared to be agricultural produce, investigators are probing the suspected misuse of fuel in the vicinity of the Cisolok Fishermen’s Fuel Station (SPBN) in Sukabumi Regency.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit at Polres of Sukabumi, Iptu Dudi Suharyana confirmed that the fuel transported by the truck was Pertalite. However, investigators are still examining the purchasing process, the intended distribution, and the reason the jerricans were covered with grain sacks.
“Regarding the fuel type, preliminary information indicates it is indeed Pertalite—specifically Pertalite purchased in jerricans and transported by truck,” said Iptu Dudi on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
Observations at the Polres of Sukabumi Headquarters showed the truck covered by a blue tarpaulin. In the cargo bed, rows of jerricans were visible, partially obscured by a stack of sacks containing grain.
Investigators have not yet concluded whether the cargo was covered intentionally to disguise the fuel or for another purpose; this remains part of the ongoing investigation.
“We are looking into that—whether the covering was intentional during transport or if there were specific underlying motives. It is still under investigation,” he explained.
Preliminary questioning suggests the fuel was intended for distribution to various retailers within the Sukabumi Regency area. Investigators are also further examining information regarding the intended distribution to the Jampang and Kalibunder areas.
Details confirming the distribution routes and the parties involved have not yet been disclosed, as the investigation is ongoing.
The truck and items related to the case were secured by investigators on the night of Sunday, October 11, 2026, for the purposes of the investigation.
“Preliminary questioning indicates that the fuel was intended for retailers in several parts of the Sukabumi region. However, we are still verifying the exact intended destination,” explained Iptu Dudi. (Bembo)
