progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Dadang Hartanto has launched a WhatsApp complaint line that residents of Jakarta and the surrounding areas can use to submit complaints, as well as offer criticism and suggestions.

In his statement, Kapolda Dadang noted that he had previously established a WhatsApp complaint line during his tenure at the Polda of Maluku, and he is implementing this initiative again while leading the Polda Metro Jaya.

“There will be another channel. I like making my WhatsApp number available. I did the same thing at the Polda of Maluku — imade my number public. Usually, in the morning, i review the messages myself. If a matter requires immediate attention, we will follow up on it right away,” said Kapolda Dadang at the Polda Metro Jaya Headquarters Promoter Building in Jakarta on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

He stated, that this measure was taken to ensure the entire Polda Metro Jaya force remains present among the community, providing assistance and a sense of security to the public.

“Especially for urgent matters—sometimes i handle them directly or take personal charge. That is the system, i have instructed my officers to operate this way,” he explained.

“In this day and age, we must work hard. We must work to serve the community. We work to serve the public and to serve Jakarta. That is what we must do,” he added.

According to Kapolda Dadang, public aspirations and feedback are vital to the institution’s improvement efforts. He acknowledges that there are still aspects of service that need enhancement—ranging from personnel performance and systems to service management—to ensure the public receives better service.

The communication channel opened by Kapolda Dadang for public complaints is the WhatsApp number 0811-812-9494. Complaints can also be submitted directly through internal oversight functions and the Professional and Security Division (Propam). Kapolda Dadang also assured that the input received would serve as a basis for evaluation to identify issues and determine necessary improvements.

“This is indeed a responsibility we must fulfill. So, thank you, i will share my number 0811-812-9494. The WhatsApp number is 0811-812-9494. That is for the public—for providing input,” said Kapolda Dadang.

In addition to receiving feedback, Kapolda Dadang hopes to maintain ongoing communication and rapport with members of the press. He believes the media plays a vital role in conveying information and the issues facing the community, thereby providing valuable input for the police force.

This aligns with the spirit of “Polisi Bersama Masyarakat”. Openness to public feedback is part of the Polda Metro Jaya’s effort to enhance services that are responsive to residents’ needs, in keeping with the Polri’s mandate to protect, safeguard, and serve the public.
