progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate has deployed personnel across major thoroughfares in Jakarta this evening. The deployment aims to facilitate smooth traffic flow during the evening rush hour, as people head home from work.
Director of Traffic for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Firman Darmansyah stated, that these measures are intended to manage vehicle flow during periods of high mobility—specifically during the evening commute—with adjustments made based on the specific traffic conditions at each location.
Personnel have been stationed at various points, including the CSW area, Al Azhar, Bundaran Senayan, Dukuh Atas, Tosari, Bundaran HI, Kebon Sirih, the Horse Statue (Patung Kuda), Harmoni, Sarinah, Semanggi, Mampang, Kuningan, Pancoran, and Cikoko.
Kombes Pol Firman added, that the presence of officers on the roads is part of the police’s commitment to providing direct service to the public.
“The public should truly feel the impact of our service. We are out on the roads to provide assistance, ensure safety, and guarantee that people can go about their activities safely and comfortably,” he explained.
In addition to managing traffic, officers are assisting road users and proactively addressing potential obstacles that could disrupt the flow of traffic. The public is urged to remain orderly, adhere to traffic signs, road markings, and instructions from officers, and to show mutual respect toward other road users.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto emphasized, that maintaining smooth and safe traffic requires a collective effort.
“Through the spirit of “Polisi Bersama Masyarakat”, our officers are present in the field to provide assistance, while the public contributes by maintaining order—following both traffic regulations and the directions of our officers. A spirit of mutual respect will ensure that road activity remains safe and flows smoothly,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi. (Bembo)
