The operation commenced with a formal assembly of personnel at the Polres Sukabumi City Headquarters on Monday, October 26, 2026.
The assembly was led by the Kapolres Sukabumi City, AKBP Sentot Kunto Wibowo, and involved joint personnel from the Polres Sukabumi City, the Military Police Sub-detachment (Subdenpom) of Sukabumi, the Transportation Agency (Dishub), and the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) of Sukabumi City.
The event was also attended by all key officials and precinct Kapolsek under the Polres Sukabumi City jurisdiction, demonstrating the readiness of the personnel to support this traffic-focused police operation.
Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026 is being conducted simultaneously across the jurisdiction of the Polda of West Java for 14 days, from Monday, October 26, to Sunday, November 8, 2026. The operation carries the theme: “Police and the Community Working Together to Realize Orderly, Safe, and Secure Traffic.”
Priority targets for this operation include motorists who do not wear SNI-standard (Indonesian National Standard) helmets, those driving against the flow of traffic, vehicles lacking official license plates, vehicles equipped with exhausts that do not meet technical specifications, and vehicles that fail to comply with required technical standards and safety equipment.
In the address from the Kapolda of West Java —which he read aloud—Kapolres Sukabumi City, AKBP Sentot Kunto Wibowo emphasized that Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026 is not solely focused on law enforcement or issuing citations. It also prioritizes educational efforts to build public awareness regarding the importance of road safety.
“Operation Patuh Lodaya 2026 emphasizes preemptive and preventive activities that are educational, persuasive, and humanistic in nature. These efforts are supported by electronic traffic law enforcement and the issuance of warnings to offenders,” said Kapolres Sentot.
He also stressed the importance of making safety the top priority in all road-related activities. In his statement, Kapolres Sentot noted, that compliance with traffic rules should stem from public awareness, rather than solely from the presence of law enforcement officers.
Furthermore, all personnel involved are instructed to prioritize education and a humanistic approach, while simultaneously carrying out law enforcement in a firm, fair, and responsible manner.
Coordination and inter-agency cooperation are also key focuses during the operation. This is essential to ensure that efforts to establish order and road safety can be carried out optimally.
Kapolres Sentot also highlighted the importance of close, tiered supervision and oversight of operational duties to ensure that the entire operation is conducted in accordance with established regulations.
Through Operation Patuh Lodaya 2026, the Polres Sukabumi City urge all road users to comply with traffic regulations, use standardized safety equipment, and ensure that their vehicles meet all technical requirements and necessary documentation.
Ultimately, this operation aims to enhance public discipline and foster an orderly, secure, and safe traffic environment within the jurisdiction of the Polres Sukabumi City. (Bembo)
