progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A large-scale joint operation was carried out by the police in the drug-trafficking hub of Kampung Bahari—also known as Kebon Pisang—in North Jakarta on Sunday, November 1, 2026. A total of 1.800 personnel from the Polda Metro Jaya Narcotics Investigation Directorate, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Polrib(Bareskrim Polri), and the Polres Metro of North Jakarta were deployed to conduct a multi-area encirclement, utilizing the KRL Commuter Line (suburban rail network) to reach the site.
“We employed a multi-area encirclement tactic to close off all potential escape routes for the perpetrators within the narrow alleyways of this densely populated settlement,” explained the Director of Narcotics Investigation for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bismo Teguh Prakoso, in a statement today.
During the raid, hundreds of heavily armed officers quietly infiltrated the Kampung Bahari area. They disembarked along the railway tracks to launch a surprise operation, converging on the location from multiple directions.
In this large-scale operation, several unexpected drug dealers and users were apprehended. Officers also seized various pieces of evidence at the scene, including drug paraphernalia (bongs), firearms, and a machine used for manufacturing ecstasy pills. (Bembo)
