Polda Metro Jaya Resmob Arrests Iraqi Man Who Killed Mpok Nori’s Grandson

Legendary Indonesian comedian and singer, Mpok Nori, and her granddaughter, Dwintha Anggary, were murdered, and the perpetrator was her Iraqi ex-husband, FD.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya Investigation Mobile (Resmob) team arrested an Iraqi man with the initials FD on a bus traveling on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road at Km 68, Banjaragung, Cipocok Jaya District, Serang City, Banten, heading to Sumatera.

FD is the ex-husband of a woman named Dwintha Anggraini (37), who was found dead in a locked room in Bambu Apus, Cipayung, East Jakarta. Dwintha Anggraini is known to be the granddaughter of the legendary Indonesian comedian and singer, the late Mpok Nori.

FD was arrested by the Polda Metro Jaya Resmob Sub-Directorate on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 12:49 WIB. During the investigation, investigators charged FD with Article 458, subsidiary to Article 468 of the Criminal Code.

The Director of Criminal Investigation at the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Iman Imanuddin, stated in an official statement, that the swift action of the Resmob Sub-Directorate Team of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Criminal Investigation Directorate in the investigation and the arrest of the suspect demonstrates the Polda Metro Jaya’s commitment to enforcing the law professionally, proportionally, and firmly against any violations of the law.

“Everything we do is in accordance with applicable regulations. There are no exceptions,” said Kombes Pol Iman.

Previously, Kapolres Metro of the East Jakarta, Kombes Pol Alfian Nurrizal also provided a statement. According to him, FD was cruel enough to kill the victim because the victim had asked him to separate, but he refused.

“That’s the reason. The victim wanted to end her relationship with the suspect, but the suspect refused. The murder was committed by the suspect around Thursday night and discovered on Saturday morning,” said Kombes Pol Alfian Nurrizal on Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Looking back on this incident, the victim, Dwintha, who was also the granddaughter of the late legendary comedian Mpok Nori, was found dead on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 4:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time in a rented house on Jalan Daman I, Bambu Apus, Cipayung, East Jakarta. Initially, the victim’s mother and younger sibling came to wake her up at 3:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.

However, the door to the house was locked from the inside. The victim’s younger sibling then tried to enter through an open window and found the victim lying dead on the floor, with dried blood on the mattress.

“The Head of the Special Crime Investigation Unit (SKPK), the Polres Metro of the East Jakarta Detective Unit, and the Criminal Investigation Unit arrived at the scene at 5:30 a.m. WIB. Preliminary results indicate a cut wound on the neck,” added the Head of the Resmob Sub-Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Ressa Fiardi Marasabessy.

Suspect Divorced Out of Jealousy

Dian Puspitasari, the older sister of the victim, Dwintha Anggary.

The victim’s older sister, Dian Puspitasari (40), spoke about her sister Dwintha’s status in the eyes of her family. According to her, her sister was very kind, obedient, and willing to give in. The victim was also known to be very affectionate with the children, especially her nieces and nephews.

“Sometimes when we scolded or teased her, she would just grin; she was always smiling,” Dian said at the scene, Sunday, March 22, 2026.

She revealed that before the incident, her sister Dwintha had been divorced by FD in early February 2026. After that, the victim decided to rent her own house.

However, FD actually rented a place near the victim’s rental. “He (the perpetrator) was a bit jealous. Anggi—the victim’s nickname—wasn’t allowed to communicate with anyone else, as if he were being restrained,” she explained.

Dian also said, that during her sister’s marriage, she had never directly heard of any domestic violence (KDRT). However, there had been a change in their relationship, especially after the victim started working at the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG).

This change, Dian continued, was related to the victim’s increased activity and social relationships outside the home.

“Since my sister started working, she’s had more friends, more activities outside, and more interactions. Maybe he (the perpetrator) was jealous,” she said.

According to her, the last time she communicated with the victim was on Thursday night around 9:30 pm WIB via text message.

“Well, we didn’t see each other on Friday, because we were all busy with our own Eid celebrations,” she added.

The following day, Dian admitted to passing by the victim’s house. But she didn’t suspect anything because the house seemed closed.

However, she suspected that the perpetrator had been monitoring the victim frequently before the incident.

“I remember, the last time i was going to the market was on Thursday, and i ran into my relative (Dwintha). It turned out he (the perpetrator) was behind me,” Dian concluded.

The body of the victim, Dwintha Anggary, was taken to the Kramat Jati Polri Hospital for an autopsy after being discovered. It was then buried at the Pondok Ranggon Public Cemetery. (Bembo)
