progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA — Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, inspected security preparations ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations at St. Andreas Kim Tae Gon Church in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Monday evening, December 22, 2025.

Kapolda Kang Asep “Sniper” and Wakapolda Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono arrived at the location around 9:30 p.m along with other senior officials (PJU) of the Polda Metro Jaya. The Chief and his entourage were greeted by Father Kesar Yanto, the Chief Pastor, and Father Stephanus Tino.

Next, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ immediately inspected the worship hall, transit area, and the area outside the church. The inspection was conducted to ensure the readiness of personnel, facilities, and infrastructure, as well as security measures during the Christmas service series. The Polda Metro Jaya wants to ensure maximum security so that the congregation can worship safely and comfortably.

The Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated in his statement, that the leadership conducted direct inspections to ensure all security posts and service posts were functioning optimally during Operation Candlelight 2025.

“Our services are on standby 24 hours a day, from security and information assistance to rapid response to public reports,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi who also accompanied the inspection.

He also urged the public to immediately contact Police Service 110 if they encounter any potential disturbances to public order and security.

“Immediately contact Service 110, which is available 24 hours a day and is toll-free,” he reminded.
