Polres Metro of Central Jakarta Narcotics Unit Raid House in Kebon Melati, Seize 18 Grams of Sabu and 5 Suspects

A total of 18 grams of sabu and other evidence were seized by the Polres Metro of Central Jakarta Narcotics Unit from the Jati Bunder area, Kebon Melati, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polres Metro of Central Jakarta Narcotics Unit Team raided a house suspected of being the site of a drug party in the Jati Bunder Dalam area of Kebon Melati, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, on Monday, April 27, 2026. Five suspected users and dealers were also arrested.
Kapolres Metro of Central Jakarta, Kombes Pol Dr. Reynold E.P. Hutagalung, stated in a statement, that the raid by the Polres Metro of Central Jakarta Narcotics Unit Team stemmed from information that went viral on social media. The information was then followed up.
“The team immediately moved to investigate and ultimately took action,” said Kombes Pol Reynold, Monday, April 27, 2026.
During the operation at the location, five perpetrators with the initials BS, AS, RS, BHP, and HB, who were caught red-handed using methamphetamine (sabu) were apprehended.
“From the perpetrators, we confiscated evidence in the form of 11 packages of sabu weighing 18,57 grams, 14 smoking devices, 12 pipes, dozens of modified lighters, and several bottles suspected of being used for methamphetamine consumption,” explained Kombes Pol Reynold.
“The evidence we secured clearly strongly indicates that the location was indeed used for narcotics abuse and distribution,” he added.
The five arrested perpetrators are now facing charges under Article 127 paragraph (1) letter a of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. They face a maximum prison sentence of four years.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Polres Metro of Central Jakarta Narcotics Unit, AKBP Wisnu Setiyawan Kuncoro added in a statement, that investigators are still developing the case to hunt down other networks.
“We’re not stopping here. We’re still investigating to uncover the possibility of other networks, including the suppliers of the illicit goods,” Wisnu emphasized.
