Brimob Company 2, Battalion D Pioneer Polda Metro Jaya arrest two male snatch thieves in Rawalumbu, Bekasi City.

progresifjaya.co.id, BEKASI CITY – Two male snatch thieves were arrested by the Mobile Brigade Unit (Sat Brimob) of the Polda Metro Jaya during a routine patrol on Jalan KH Abdul Rahman, Rawalumbu, Bekasi City, early Thursday, May 7, 2026. Both were arrested by the Sat Brimob of Company 2, Battalion D Pelopor.

The Head of the Sat Brimob Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Henik Maryanto explained, that the incident occurred while the team was patrolling the Harapan Indah area, Kalimalang, and Jalan KH Abdul Rahman, Rawalumbu.

“Around 2:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, the team received information from the Polsek of Rawalumbu regarding a snatch theft on Jalan KH Abdul Rahman,” Kombes Pol Henik told the media on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

The Brimob Patrol team immediately followed up on the report and quickly moved to the location.  The two perpetrators were immediately apprehended at the scene and transported to the Polsek of Rawalumbu for legal processing.

Kombes Pol Henik reiterated, that routine patrols are a concrete step taken by the Brimob to maintain security and stability within the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya.

Routine patrols target areas deemed vulnerable to anticipate disturbances to public order and street crime, such as theft, motorcycle gang activity, and brawls.

“Patrols will continue to be stepped up to maintain a safe and conducive situation within the Polda Metro Jaya’s jurisdiction, including in Bekasi City,” he said.

Finally, he also appealed to the public to immediately report any public order disturbances to the 110 emergency service.
