Two perpetrators were arrested in an apartment in the Kelapa Gading area of ​​North Jakarta. 29,4 kilograms of sabu was also seized as evidence.

The Director of Narcotics Crime at the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency, Brigjen Pol Eko Hadi Santoso explained in a statement, that the network was dismantled thanks to information from the public who suspected drug trafficking activity in North Jakarta.

“The team received information from the public about the illegal distribution of methamphetamine in the Kelapa Gading area,” said Brigjen Pol Eko in a written statement on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

Based on this information, Brigjen Pol Eko continued, the team then launched an investigation on Monday evening, May 4, 2026. The investigation proved successful. Two suspected perpetrators, Andra Rijal Mustaqim (25) and Sulaiman (28), were apprehended.

During a search of Andra’s room, 13 clear plastic packages containing white crystals suspected to be sabu were found. Meanwhile, in Sulaiman’s room, another 15 large plastic packages and one small package containing sabu were found.

“We secured a total of 29 packages of evidence with a gross weight of 29.446,1 grams, or approximately 29,4 kilograms,” said Brigjen Pol Eko.

In addition to the sabu, several other pieces of evidence were also confiscated, including identity cards (KTP), wallets, and three mobile phones used for communication.

Brigjen Pol Eko explained, that based on interrogation, the two perpetrators admitted to playing strategic roles in the network. They are strongly suspected of being warehouse operators for the Jakarta area and couriers ready to deliver the hallucinogenic white powder. Both also admitted to being controlled by different individuals from outside Java.

“Suspect Andra was directed by someone with the initials J in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, to pick up narcotics with Sulaiman,” said Brigjen Pol Eko.

“Meanwhile, suspect Sulaiman was directed by someone with the initials F in Lampung to pick up narcotics,” he added.

The two also admitted to police that they had rented an apartment unit since Friday, April 24, 2026, to use as a storage or warehouse for the sabu before distribution. They also used a specific messaging application to evade detection.

Currently, Andra Rijal Mustaqim and Sulaiman, along with all the evidence, have been transported to the Polri’s Narcotics Crimes Directorate for further investigation. Both are now resigned to awaiting their punishment. Regret always comes last, bro. Poor thing, poor thing.
