progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – All police personnel equipment will continue to be strengthened to maximize the sense of security for all Indonesians.

This was the promise made by the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, when opening the Polri Logistics Staff Technical Working Meeting (Rakernis) in Cipinang, East Jakarta, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

“One of the things i asked for in the future is how i asked our members to be equipped with equipment that can truly provide security for the public,” emphasized Kapolri Listyo Sigit.

He also mentioned, that the Slog Lab laboratory was also inaugurated at this event. This laboratory will be used to check and ensure that the quality of uniforms issued to personnel truly meets the specifications required by the Polri.

“We also saw and demonstrated firsthand how we prepare uniforms, especially for personnel tasked with dealing with potential riots,” said the Kapolri.

The Kapolri continued, explaining that personnel uniforms will also be prepared to address potential attacks in conflict-prone areas. The clothing will be designed to ward off arrow attacks.

“One of the things we discussed earlier was how to ensure that in the event of an attack, particularly in areas prone to conflict, those frequently using arrows were demonstrated. And Alhamdulillah, with the new equipment, our personnel can avoid potential arrow attacks,” he explained.

Furthermore, the Kapolri also revealed that personnel will be equipped with various personal protective equipment to face all potential challenges in the field.

“Whether it’s Molotov cocktails, gunfire, or anything else that could endanger our personnel,” he stated.

He emphasized, that this is intended to ensure that all police personnel can carry out their duties optimally and maximally, particularly in providing a sense of security to the public and addressing all risks they face.

On this occasion, Kapolri Listyo Sigit also distributed several pieces of much-needed operational equipment to members.  These include 430 vehicles, ranging from motorcycles to electric patrol cars and ambulances.

“And also patrol equipment in conflict areas such as Papua, Central Papua, and Dogiyai. And ambulances, which are certainly much needed, especially in emergency situations. There are also several vehicles that can be used to serve communities affected by floods,” he explained.

He hopes, that all of this will optimize and support all members carrying out operational duties, while also providing services and security for the community.

“So the presence of the Polri is to provide a sense of security, to carry out our duties, from maintaining public order and security to providing protection, guidance, service to the community, and carrying out duties related to law enforcement. In particular, it also ensures that we, as an institution tasked with maintaining security and maintaining social order, can truly perform optimally,” he said.

Finally, Kapolri Listyo Sigit also mentioned that the Bhayangkara Corps has currently compiled the Minimum Essential Police Equipment (MEPE), or the minimum standard equipment that the Polri must possess.

“And of course, this is all part of our efforts to ensure we are always ready with all available equipment, tailored to the characteristics of each region,” said the Kapolri.

“So that when the Polri appear and deploy, they can truly carry out their main duties to the maximum extent possible. And we hope that all of this preparation will certainly provide much better service to the public in carrying out the tasks carried out by the Polri institution,” he added.
