progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Robbery Hunter Team of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) of the Polda Metro Jaya has again caught two more bandits. This time, two bandits with the initials JF and AS were arrested. Both were perpetrators of violent theft, or robbery, operating in several locations.
The Director of Criminal Investigation at the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Iman Imanuddin, personally delivered the latest news.
“Tonight, we have again arrested a suspect whose story recently went viral on Cikarang Info. The suspect has been detained by a team from the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya for committing the crimes of violent theft and aggravated theft,” explained Kombes Pol Iman Imanuddin on Tuesday evening, May 19, 2026.
He explained, that the two bandits arrested always carried firearms. Therefore, for security reasons, the police were forced to take firm, measured action by shooting the perpetrators.
“When our officers were in the field and about to arrest the two suspects, they were found to be carrying firearms. Therefore, considering the safety of the public and the safety of our officers in the field, we had to take firm, measured action by shooting the suspects first,” explained Kombes Pol Iman.
He also said, that, based on the preliminary investigation and the perpetrators’ statements, the two bandits had operated at six crime scenes (TKP).
“Based on the information they received, and based on interviews during the trip, they had already conducted their operations at six crime scenes in East Jakarta and Bekasi. We arrested them earlier in the Pasar Rebo area,” Kombes Pol Iman further explained.
Investigators will charge the two bandits under Articles 477, 479, and 306, which carry a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. Investigators are still investigating the network of other perpetrators involved in the case.
“And on this occasion, we would also like to express our gratitude to the Poskamling (Community Security Post) personnel who have been under our guidance all this time, who have helped provide information to the team from the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya, especially the robbery hunting team,” said Kombes Pol Iman, expressing his appreciation.
