progresifjaya.co.id, BEKASI – The Polres Metro of Bekasi City Criminal Investigation Unit has named G (18) as a suspect in the murder of a 2-year-old toddler who was also his own nephew in Jatisampurna, Bekasi City. G, who is also the victim’s uncle, was named a suspect based on the results of a case review.

The Head of the Polres Metro of Bekasi City Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Andi Muhammad Iqbal stated in his statement, that his team had questioned G before he was rushed to the hospital due to the stab wounds he suffered in the incident.

“He has been examined, he is conscious, and we have questioned him,” said Kompol Andi.

He also stated, that G was named a suspect in this case through the case review mechanism. During the case review, G was found to have met the elements necessary for suspect status.

However, Kompol Andi stated, that his team could not yet determine G’s mental state. Based on the victim’s grandmother, who is also the perpetrator’s mother, G suffered from mental illness and regularly took medication.

“We can’t conclude yet (he is a mental health professional). We are still waiting for the autopsy results from the Polri Hospital regarding his mental state,” Kompol Andi added.

For more information on this case, the body of the 2-year-old toddler was found on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in Jatisampurna, Bekasi City, West Java. The victim was found with G, his uncle, who is also a suspect, in a rented room.

The victim was found with dozens of stab wounds and a cut on his cheek. Meanwhile, G’s uncle suffered stab wounds to the chest and cheek.
