The President Director of PT Khazanah Tamma Internasional (KTI), Ahmad Syah Farhan or ASF, has been named a suspect in the Umrah travel fraud and/or embezzlement case by the Polda Metro Jaya.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The President Director of PT Khazanah Tamma Internasional (KTI), Ahmad Syah Farhan or ASF, has been named a suspect in an Umrah travel fraud and/or embezzlement case by the Polda Metro Jaya. As a travel and Umrah travel entrepreneur, Ahmad Syah Farhan is suspected of defrauding and defrauding hundreds of prospective Umrah pilgrims. Losses from this alleged fraudulent activity reach tens of billions of rupiah.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated in his statement, that the Polda Metro Jaya have received two police reports (LP) regarding the alleged fraud involving Hanania Travel.

“One of them was made by a reporter with the initials JSP, with approximately 128 victims and a total reported loss of approximately Rp12,145 billion,” explained Kombes Pol Bhudi on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Currently, the case reported by JSP has advanced to the investigation stage. Investigators have questioned 33 witnesses regarding JSP’s report.

In his report, JSP stated that the victims claimed to have paid for the Umrah package to the Hanania Group. However, the departures never took place as scheduled.

Based on JSP’s report, Ahmad Syah Farhan was arrested and named a suspect on May 29, 2026. He was immediately detained at the Polda Metro Jaya Detention and Evidence Directorate.

Investigators are currently completing the case file, including witness statements, suspect statements, and other supporting evidence. Investigators are also investigating the possibility of other parties being involved in the case.

In this case, investigators also applied the articles on alleged fraud and/or embezzlement and/or money laundering as referred to in Article 492 of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code and/or Article 486 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 607 of the Criminal Code.

Although Ahmad Syah Farhan has been incarcerated as a fraud suspect, the number of reports filed against him at the Polda Metro Jaya has apparently not stopped. Another report from a reporter with the initials NN has been filed regarding an Umrah pilgrimage for two people.

In the report, the victim stated that he had paid for an Umrah package worth approximately Rp78,8 million to PT Khazanah Tamma Internasional. However, the flight was not scheduled.

“The report filed by reporter NN is currently under investigation,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.

Speaking further, Kombes Pol Bhudi stated, that the Polda Metro Jaya has also opened a Complaint Post for Victims of Alleged Umrah Travel Fraud by PT Khazanah Tamma Internasional/Hanania Group. Those who believe they have been victims can come directly to the State Security Sub-Directorate (Kamneg) of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya with supporting data and evidence.
