progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya’s Violent Crimes (Jatanras) Sub-Directorate Criminal Investigation  Directorate (Ditreskrimun) has arrested the suspected murderer of a woman in a hotel room in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta. The killer, whose identity is still being withheld, was arrested less than 24 hours after the murder. The killer was arrested at Taman Cilandak, Jalan Lebak Bulus V, South Jakarta, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at approximately 12:50 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated in a statement, that investigators from the Polda Metro Jaya Jatanras Sub-Directorate could not yet provide details regarding the identity and chronology of the murder. The killer is still under intensive questioning at the Polda Metro Jaya.

“The perpetrator of the murder is currently under investigation,” he said.

The details of the murder in this case were revealed on Friday, May 29, 2026, at approximately 12:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.

A young woman with the initials L (20) was found murdered in a hotel room in the Kebayoran Baru area of ​​South Jakarta.

“On Friday, May 29, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m. Western Indonesian Time, the Polsek Metro of Kebayoran Baru received information that a woman had been found dead in a hotel room in the Kebayoran Baru area and responded by going to the scene,” explained the Head of Public Relations for the Polres Metro of South Jakarta, AKP Joko Adiwibowo, on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

He explained, that victim L was a guest staying at the hotel. The victim was found dead when hotel staff attempted to confirm payment for the room.

When found, the victim was lying face down on the floor with a bleeding wound on her head. Her face was covered by a blue shirt.

“The hotel staff knocked on the door to confirm payment, but there was no response. The staff then opened the door using the hotel key, and the incident was discovered,” he said.
