Polresta of Cirebon Traffic Unit’s Public Services Facilitate the Public, a Typical Characteristic of Prince Cakrabuwana

The Polresta of Cirebon Traffic Unit’s public service to driver’s license applicants and taxpayers in Cirebon Regency is always based on the attitude and behavior of Prince Cakrabuwana, the legend who founded Cirebon.

progresifjaya.co.id, CIREBON REGENCY – The Polresta of Cirebon Traffic Unit through the Registration and Indentification Unit (Regident), continues to strive to provide the best service to the public in processing Driver’s Licenses (SIM) and motor vehicle documents.

These services are provided comprehensively, including the Driver’s License Administration Unit (Satpas), the One-Stop Integrated Administration System (Samsat), and the Mobile SIM (Simling) and Mobile Samsat (Samling) mobile services.

This week, Monday through Saturday, June 1-6, 2026, the Polresta of Cirebon Simling and Samling public services will be closed only on Mondays due to the Pancasila Birth Day national holiday. However, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, they will be available again until Friday.

On Tuesdays, the Polresta of Cirebon Simling service will be available at the Kanci Police Post.  Then, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the service will shift to Ramayana Weru. On Thursday, June 4, 2026, the Simling service will be on standby at the Tegarkarang Police Post, and on Friday, June 5, 2026, it will return to Ramayana Weru to serve.

The location of the Simling service is different from the Simling service line. The Polresta of Cirebon  Department’s Samling public service will be split between two locations on Tuesday, satisfying taxpayers in Kaliwulu Village, Plered District, and Kedondong Market, Susukan District.

Then on Wednesday, the two-time service will be implemented in Tegalwangi Village, Weru District, and Pangkalan Village, Plered District. The next day, Thursday, the two-time service will again be available in Tegalgubug Lor Village, Arjawinangun District, and Palaralan Market, Plered District.

Then, on Fridays, the Polresta of Cirebon Department’s fun Samling service will move to Bodelor Village, Plumbon District, and Batik Rizky, Plered District. On Saturdays, Samling will remain open two times, taking place at the Plumbon District Football Field and the Weru District Office.

All public services, both Simling and Samling, will operate from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time) until Friday. On Saturdays, however, the service will operate shorter, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM WIB.

The Head of the Polresta of Cirebon  Department’s Traffic Unit, AKP Yudha Satyo Rahardjo explained in an official statement, that excellent service to the public is a priority for the Polresta of Cirebon Department, particularly in the administration of SIM and motor vehicle registrations.

“The Satpas and Samsat, as well as the Simling and Samling  officers of the Polresta of Cirebon, continue to strive to provide the best possible service, quickly, humanely, and professionally, to make it easier for the public to apply for driver’s licenses and motor vehicle registrations,” said AKP Yudha on Monday, June 1, 2026.

And as a guiding principle for these officers, encouraging them to quickly transform into Precision Traffic Police, the legendary story of Prince Cakrabuwana’s wisdom and behavior is used as a basis.

Prince Cakrabuana, or Raden Walangsungsang, was the founder of the Pakungwati Palace, the forerunner of the Cirebon Sultanate. The son of King Siliwangi of the Pajajaran Kingdom, he was the first to lay the foundations of Islamic rule in Cirebon.

Sunan Gunung Jati, also known as Syarif Hidayatullah, one of the Wali Songo, was none other than the nephew of Prince Cakrabuwana. He came from the Middle East and was later appointed the first king or sultan of Cirebon.

“Prince Cakrabuwana was a powerful ruler who founded Cirebon. Despite his power and power, he was known for his compassion and always helping his people. He showed no arrogance in helping the community. And it’s proven, with the full support of his people, he was able to transform Cirebon from a small fishing village into a center for the spread of Islam in the Pasundan region,” said AKP Yudha.

“That’s the trait we’re trying to adopt and understand to provide the best service to make it easier for the people of Cirebon to obtain driver’s licenses and motor vehicle registrations,” he added.

AKP Yudha also stated, that by providing intensive and systematic public services for Simling and Samling, the Polresta of Cirebon Traffic Unit can be said to have truly taken the history and behavior of Prince Cakrabuwana seriously as a ruler.

Police, said AKP Yudha, must not behave arrogantly despite their extensive authority and power. Quite the opposite. This authority and power must be present and presented to help serve and facilitate the community, fostering a strong sense of closeness.

“The Traffic Police’s philosophy of engaging with the community is rooted in a shift from a repressive approach to humanistic and dialogical policing, or listening policing. The Traffic Police are present not merely as enforcers, but also as partners, educators, and protectors, ready to listen to the aspirations of the people. This is precisely the guiding principle of Prince Cakrabuwana as a leader and ruler,” AKP Yudha further explained.

“And we hope that the services we provide will create comfort and satisfaction for the people of Cirebon,” he added.
