Brimob of the Polda Metro Intercepts 3 Bangor Youths with Sharp Weapons About to Brawl in West Bekasi

Evidence of sharp weapons and a motorcycle secured by Company 2, Battalion D Satbrimob of the Polda Metro Jaya during a patrol to prevent brawls in West Bekasi.
progresifjaya.co.id, BEKASI – Three bangor youths armed with sharp weapons were intercepted by the Patra Team from Company 2, Battalion D, Mobile Brigade Corps (Satbrimob) of the Polda Metro Jaya while attempting to engage in a brawl between groups of youths in West Bekasi, Bekasi City, West Java. The three Bangor youths were then taken to the Polsek of West Bekasi Station for further questioning.
They were intercepted by Company 2, Battalion D, Satbrimob of the Polda Metro Jaya while attempting to flee upon seeing officers.
“Officers conducted a measured pursuit and successfully apprehended the three bangor youths at the scene,” said the Commander of the Satbrimob of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Henik Maryanto, in a statement on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
He stated, that the three Bangor youths were found during a routine patrol at 7:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB) this morning. While on patrol, officers encountered a group of youths behaving suspiciously, strongly suspected of planning a brawl in the Jakasampurna area, West Bekasi, Bekasi City.
“From intensive investigations and a sweep of the scene, officers successfully confiscated evidence in the form of sharp weapons prepared for the violence, six sickles, one machete, two modified sharp weapons, and one knife,” explained Kombes Pol Hernik.
Officers also confiscated 10 cellphones and eight motorcycles abandoned by the group of youths.
Kombes Pol Henik stated, that this swift action in the field was a concrete implementation of the police’s preventive function to eliminate potential security disturbances before they could escalate and result in loss of life.
“The Patra Ki 2 Team, Battalion D Satbrimob moved quickly to pursue them after detecting a group of youths strongly suspected of planning a brawl. We will always respond quickly, firmly, measuredly, and humanely to any potential disturbances to public order and security within the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya to ensure the public’s right to a sense of security,” he said.
He continued, Polda Metro Jaya consistently urges all levels of society, especially parents, to continue to increase supervision of their children’s activities and social interactions to prevent them from becoming involved in street crime or brawls.
The public is also advised to use the Polri call center 110 if they encounter any disturbances to public order and security.
