Polda Metro Jaya Partner with FBI to Examine Dollar Currency Evidence in Three Major Corruption Cases

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya will collaborate with the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation), the United States Embassy, and Singapore to examine dollar currency seized in three major corruption cases implicating the former Attorney General’s Office (AGO) Special Crimes Director, Febrie Adriansyah.
This collaboration will involve testing the US dollars and Singapore dollars recovered during the searches.
“So, we will conduct tests on Singapore dollars and US dollars from the FBI and the American Embassy, including from the Singapore Embassy and Bank Indonesia,” said Polda Metro Jaya Public Relations Chief, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, on Monday, July 13, 2026.
Today, Polda Metro Jaya along with PT Pegadaian, will first examine the seized 74 kg of gold from the search. Experts will assess the authenticity and weight of the gold bars.
The inspection is currently ongoing. This inspection is part of the ongoing case investigation.
“This is part of the process of handing over the follow-up case handled by the joint investigation to the AGO,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.
As is known, the Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipikor) of the Polri and the Polda Metro Jaya have conducted searches at 12 locations, from Cipete, South Jakarta, to Sentul, Bogor, West Java.

The total cash, when converted to rupiah, is estimated to be worth Rp476 billion.
Regarding the search in this corruption case, Febrie Adriansyah and Don Ritto have been named suspects by the Polri Kortastipikor . The suspect designation was made shortly after Febrie resigned from his position as Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus).
Febrie was named a suspect in three major alleged corruption cases: the coal sector, ASABRI, and Krakatau Steel (KS). The case has now been transferred to the AGO, under supervision from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and overseen by Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) through the formation of a working committee (Panja).
Special Attention from Commission III of the DPR
From the House of the People, Commission III of the DPR has confirmed that it will pay special attention to the legal process related to the coal, ASABRI, and Krakatau Steel corruption cases.
DPR Commission III Chairman, Habiburokhman also emphasized, that the cases implicating law enforcement officers (APH) are related to individuals, not institutions.
“There are several things to be announced. First, Commission III is taking the initiative to ensure that the cases, which have been widely reported recently, can proceed within the legal framework and be thoroughly investigated,” Habiburokhman said in a press conference at the AGO in South Jakarta, Saturday, July 11, 2026.
He also emphasized, that Commission III of the DPR will closely monitor the investigation to prevent actions that exceed legal authority between institutions during the ongoing investigation of this case.
“We also want to ensure there are no excesses, friction, or friction between institutions regarding the handling of this case. After all, this is a case involving individuals, individuals, not institutions,” he clarified.
