progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya responded swiftly to the shocking news regarding the bomb threat at SDN Srengseng Sawah 15 Morning in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. The perpetrator, a man identified as MY (34), was immediately apprehended.

The Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated in his statement, that the perpetrator, identified as MY, lives near the location of the incident. He is currently under investigation at the Polres Metro of South Jakarta.

“The chronology of the arrest will be explained later. Investigators are currently investigating the suspect’s goals and motives,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi on Monday, July 13, 2026.

The Gegana Team and Densus 88 Anti-terror squad had previously conducted a search at SDN Srengseng Sawah 15 Morning in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, where a bomb threat was received. No bombs were found at the location.

The bomb threat was sent while students and teachers were attending a ceremony on the first day of school after a long holiday. The threat was sent via private message to a teacher and an administrative officer (TU).

“The report was received at 7:30 a.m. WIB. However, the person was in the middle of the ceremony. They only saw the message after the ceremony. We immediately went to the sub-district head and village head,” said Kapolsek of Jagakarsa, Kompol Nurma Dewi.
