progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – To address rumors of friction between the Polri and the Corps of Attorney Generals, the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, visited the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) to meet with Attorney General S.T. Burhanuddin and his staff. The meeting between the Kapolri and the Attorney General was also marked by a salute of command, demonstrating the healthy, close, and strong coordination between the two institutions.

The Kapolri, accompanied by the Wakapolri and his staff, visited the AGO Main Building in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Monday afternoon, July 13, 2026. Upon arrival, Kapolri Listyo Sigit was warmly welcomed by S.T. Burhanuddin and the Deputy Attorney General (JAM).

After holding a closed-door meeting and delivering a press statement, Kapolri Listyo Sigit and S.T. Burhanuddin then displayed a warm and friendly atmosphere. The two heads of these institutions exchanged a salute before the media as a symbol of solidarity.

“I assure you, especially since we are here with the Attorney General and all the key officials of the Attorney General’s Office. I am accompanied by the Wakapolri and key officials from Polri Headquarters,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit.

“Of course, we both agree and convey to all ranks that there are no problems between these two institutions,” he added.

On this occasion, KapolrinListyo Sigit also emphasized his commitment to maintaining good relations and synergy down to the regional level. This is done to oversee government programs.

“We also recognize that there are many government program agendas that we must safeguard and oversee. Because we all hope that these will be programs that benefit the community and make Indonesia much better,” explained Kapolri Listyo Sigit.

“And of course, this requires stronger solidarity and synergy. Once again, there have never been any problems between the Attorney General’s Office and the Police,” he added.

Echoing the Kapolri, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin also emphasized that the synergy between the Polri and the AGO is a long-standing mandate of law. He stated that the two institutions are an inseparable unit.

“Our synergy has been in place for a long time because the law requires us to synergize,” said Attorney General Burhanuddin.

He explained, that the main goal of this unity is to provide a sense of security and justice for the community. Therefore, he asked the public to never again doubt the relationship between the two law enforcement agencies.

“Of course, today we are explaining to those of you who don’t yet know how our synergy works. This is our form,” he emphasized.

“And this isn’t just today. We’ve always been like this. It’s just that we haven’t been open with our friends here. We are one unit. Our goal is to provide a sense of security in the community, to provide a sense of justice in the community. We have the same goal and we cannot be separated,” the Attorney General continued in his statement.
