progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Banten-based club Dewa United made three moves in the transfer market ahead of the 2026/2027 Super League. In addition to bringing in two Brazilian players, Denilson Junior and Carlos Iury, and the tall South Korean defender Ko Myeong Seok, the Banten Warriors also released three foreign players, Alex Martins, Hugo Gomes, and Privat Mbarga, in the transfer market.

Here are Dewa United’s three moves in the transfer market:

1. Forward Denilson Junior and winger Carlos Iury were brought in by Dewa United to bolster their attack. Both players played in the Thai League last season. Denilson played for Ratchaburi FC and Carlos Iury played for Chiangrai United. Ratchaburi FC finished third in the Thai League standings, while Chiangrai United finished seventh last season.

Despite this, Denilson’s performance remained sharp and dangerous throughout the 2025/2026 season. He appeared in 38 matches across all competitions, scoring 21 goals and 11 assists.

As a center forward, Denilson is known for his sharp finishing. He also has excellent aerial skills and intelligent movement in the penalty box. His experience in Asian competitions is also a plus, making him a suitable addition to Dewa United’s front line.

In addition to Denilson Junior, Dewa United also acquired Carlos Iury, a speedy winger from Brazil. He possesses excellent dribbling skills and is adept at creating chances from the flanks. His ability to play man-to-man and one-on-one is one of Carlos Iury’s strengths. Furthermore, he also possesses good crossing accuracy, making him a valuable provider for Dewa United’s attackers.

2. Landing South Korean defender Ko Myeong-seok

Dewa United announced the signing of Ko Myeong-seok as a new player to strengthen their defense next season.

The South Korean center-back will reunite with coach Osmar Loss, who coached him at Buriram United in the 2024/2025 season. The two successfully won four titles (quadruple) for the Thai club.

“What excites me most is the opportunity to work with Coach Osmar, who achieved so much success while managing Buriram. I want to be part of the team he is building,” said Ko Myeong Seok.

2. Released Alex Martins and Hugo Gomes

Dewa United released two strikers, Alex Martins, who officially joined Persebaya Surabaya. Meanwhile, midfielder Hugo Gomes joined Madura United.

3. Privat Mbarga Also Released

After a season with the club, Dewa United decided to part ways with senior striker Privat Mbarga.

During the 2025/2026 season, the Cameroonian-born player, who represented the Cambodian national team, appeared in 29 matches, scoring 5 goals and 3 assists.

Dewa United expressed its appreciation for the player’s contributions.

Dewa United is known to have released at least 11 players as part of a squad refresh ahead of the 2026/2027 Super League season.
