progresifjaya.co.id, MAKASSAR – Gerindra Party’s Daily Chairman, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad reaffirmed his figure and role as a representative of the people in front of thousands of businessmen who are members of the Indonesian Business Association (Apindo) during the Apindo National Coordination Work Meeting (Rakerkornas) at Hotel Claro Makassar, Tuesday, August 4, 2026. He then also exemplified his communication style that is always humble and touches the interests of the small people.
The Libra senior politician also invited thousands of businessmen from Apindo to come down and take an active role in creating a healthy social media ecosystem. This step is very crucial because it is the foundation for maintaining economic stability, investment climate, and national political conducibility.
In his communication, Sufmi Dasco deliberately spoke in strict legal language. He uses a typical “merakyat” approach that emphasizes the importance of education from the lowest level, namely the workers.
Why? Because in his view, the business world has a huge influence because it oversees millions of workers who interact on digital platforms every day. Therefore, the company should not be oriented only on productivity. But it is also mandatory to have social responsibility to educate the workers.
“Entrepreneurs who have a lot of labor can provide an example of how we can use healthy social media. This is important because one of the things that disturb economic and political stability today is the unhealthy condition of social media,” said Sufmi Dasco with a friendly tone, as if equating his position with the participants.
Sufmi Dasco’s “people’s” communication style can also be seen from the way he simplifies complex issues. He said, if every company is able to educate its employees to filter information, then the spread of hoaxes and provocative content that disturbs the market can be suppressed.
In fact, the unhealthy condition of social media has been proven to be able to affect public trust, market volatility, and even shake the stability of the business world.
Not only talking about the digital world, Sufmi Dasco also touched on a crucial issue that has a direct impact on the lives of workers and entrepreneurs, namely the revision of employment regulations.
With his inclusive style, he invited the government, DPR, employers, and labor unions to strengthen collaboration. He also confirmed that DPR does not want to give birth to elitist laws, but regulations that really belong to the common people.
“We are determined that the government, DPR, businessmen, and trade unions will jointly give birth to a new Labor Law. Of course, the law belongs to all parties, not just one party, so it is really healthy and beneficial for all of us,” he stressed.
Sufmi Dasco’s statement received a positive response from Rakerkornas participants. His commitment to push for adaptive regulation shows that he is not only on the side of big businessmen, but also on the protection of workers’ rights at the grassroots.
Concluding his directive, Sufmi Dasco also expressed his belief that the synergy between a strong business world and a healthy digital ecosystem will be the driving force behind Indonesia’s progress.
“I will continue to encourage how that spirit can be realized. Strong entrepreneurs will make Indonesia progress,” said Sufmi Dasco, who was immediately greeted by lively applause from Rakerkornas Apindo participants.
