Polresta Karawang Traffic Unit Provides Traffic Safety Education to Kindergarten Students Through the Polsanak Program

The Polresta Karawang Traffic Unit provides lighthearted, fun-filled education through the “Police as Children’s Friends” (Polsanak) program.

progresifjaya.co.id, KARAWANG – Laughter and the cheerful spirit of kindergarten students filled the headquarters of the Polresta Karawang Traffic Unit (Satlantas Polresta Karawang) during an educational event titled “Police as Children’s Friends” (Polisi Sahabat Anak or Polsanak) on Friday, October 16, 2026.

The initiative aims to introduce children to the world of policing and instill a culture of traffic safety from an early age.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, traffic police officers guided the children on a tour to observe various police facilities and duties firsthand. Beyond just a visit, the children received light, engaging lessons on traffic signs and how to cross the street safely.

Kapolresta Karawang, Kombes Pol Mario Prahatinto—represented by the Head of the Traffic Unit, Kompol Triyono Raharja—noted, that a persuasive approach is essential to ensure children do not feel intimidated by police officers.

“Through this program, we hope children can learn about the functions of the police while simultaneously gaining an understanding of traffic safety from a young age,” said Kompol Triyono.

He added, that this education serves as a long-term investment in fostering safety and order on the roads.

“We hope that these children will eventually become advocates for traffic safety within their own circles—from their families to their peers,” Kompol Triyono explained.

With this initiative, the Polresta Karawang Traffic Unit reaffirms its commitment to building a close relationship with the community, particularly the younger generation, with the goal of fostering a culture of safe and comfortable driving for the future. (Bembo)
