progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya have repatriated three Indonesian citizens (WNI)—identified by the initials NAR, SS, and NKR—who were victims of human trafficking from Libya. The three arrived in stages at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang.

The first retrieval involved SS from Cianjur and NAR from Dompu on the night of Monday, August 3, 2026. Meanwhile, the victims identified as SS and NKR arrived and were met by officers on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

The Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Iman Imanuddin stated, that the repatriation of these victims is part of the Polri’s commitment to providing protection to the public, particularly Indonesian citizens who fall victim to human trafficking abroad.

“Alhamdulillah, tonight we were able to safely repatriate two victims—one from Cianjur and one from Dompu. They are victims of human trafficking, and we have detained the suspects involved in this case,” said Kombes Pol Iman during the retrieval on the night of Monday, August 3, 2026.

Kombes Pol Iman also emphasized, that investigators would continue to enforce the law to the fullest extent against the perpetrators and the networks involved in the illegal dispatch of Indonesian citizens abroad. Efforts to rescue and repatriate other victims will also continue.

“We will continue to make maximum efforts to enforce the law against human trafficking suspects, while simultaneously rescuing and repatriating victims from the locations where they were illegally sent. This represents the state’s presence in providing protection to its citizens,” he explained.

The Polda Metro Jaya confirmed that the investigation into the human trafficking network is ongoing. The police also urged the public not to be easily tempted by offers of overseas employment that do not follow official procedures or lack valid placement documentation.
