progresifjaya.co.id, KUNINGAN – The Traffic Unit of the Polres Kuningan through its Traffic Safety Education Division (Unit Kamsel), held a Police Goes to School program at SMK Negeri 1 Jagara on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The initiative aimed to instill proper traffic ethics while raising awareness about the Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026 among the student body.

Led by the Head of the Polres Kuningan Traffic Unit, AKP Aktuin Moniharapon—accompanied by the heads of the Law Enforcement and Traffic Safety Education divisions, along with other traffic unit personnel—the session focused on emphasizing safety riding practices and the prevention of traffic accidents.

AKP Aktuin Moniharapon stated, that the younger generation, particularly vocational high school students, requires a thorough understanding of traffic regulations to avoid high-risk driving behaviors.

“We provided education regarding the priority targets of Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026. Our focus is to reduce the number of traffic violations and fatalities resulting from accidents within the jurisdiction of the Polres Kuningan. We also emphasized the mandatory use of SNI-standard (Indonesian National Standard) helmets, the possession of valid vehicle documentation, and the use of seatbelts,” explained AKP Aktuin.

In addition to covering basic traffic rules, officers issued firm reminders regarding the physical condition of vehicles and the prevention of juvenile delinquency.

Officers strictly prohibited the use of exhaust systems that do not meet technical specifications, participation in illegal street racing, and vehicle modifications that could compromise road safety.

Furthermore, students were urged to steer clear of inter-school brawls, involvement in radical motorcycle gangs, and the abuse of drugs or alcohol.

The Polres Kuningan are also collaborating with the school administration to organize parking areas and conduct periodic checks on the roadworthiness and documentation of vehicles belonging to students who ride motorcycles to school.

Through the Police Goes to School program, students at SMK Negeri 1 Jagara have committed to rejecting the use of non-compliant, loud exhausts (brong exhausts) and are prepared to serve as pioneers for traffic safety, both within their school environment and in the wider community. (Bembo)
