progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Garut Polres Traffic Unit’s efforts to get closer to the community are being carried out through the “Polantas Menyapa” program. This program was initiated by the Korlantas Polri. The goal is to strengthen public services, provide better service to the Samsat and Satpas, and build humane communication between the Polantas and the community.

The Head of the Garut Polres Traffic Unit, Iptu Aang Andi Suhandi stated in an official statement, that the “Polantas Menyapa” program initiated by the Korlantas Polri, demonstrates the police’s commitment and transparency to providing high-quality public service. This program also serves as an effort and method for the police to build community engagement by actively involving and interacting with the community.

“We want to foster community connections through the ‘Polantas Menyapa’ program. We want to build and further strengthen existing relationships with the community through educational communication that is light, relaxed, polite, and humble. That’s the essence,” said Iptu Aang explaining the program’s substance recently.

He also explained, that the ‘Polantas Menyapa’ program can be interpreted as a manifestation of the Polri’s commitment to remain present in the community, not only as law enforcers but also as public servants who are responsive and open to public aspirations. The program also focuses on fostering two-way communication.

“Through the ‘Polantas Menyapa’ program, we want to build two way communication with the community. We will respond quickly to every complaint and suggestion so that the service process runs more effectively and transparently,” he said.

The concept of two way communication he intended also has a positive aura because it includes educational materials and reminders regarding orderly motor vehicle (ranmor) administration and driving permits to create a safe, orderly, and smooth traffic flow (kamseltiblancar).

“As Polantas, we want to establish good communication with the public. The goal is to raise awareness of the importance of orderly traffic or road traffic safety for everyone’s safety,” said Iptu Aang again.

During this implementation, personnel from the Garut Polres Traffic Unit will actively engage with the public and engage them in casual dialogue regarding vehicle registration and identification (Regident) services.
