The husband and wife, NDF and SP, who were arrested by the Polda Metro Jaya’s Mobile Detective (Resmob) Sub-Directorate, are known to be telemarketers and operational managers of the online gambling sites.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A married couple suspected of managing three online gambling (judol) sites with a monthly turnover of hundreds of millions of rupiah were arrested by the Polda Metro Jaya’s Special Team Sub-Directorate of Mobile Detective (Resmob). The couple, identified as NDF and SP, were arrested in an apartment in the Penjaringan area of North Jakarta.

The two were arrested by the Resmob Polda Metro Jaya on suspicion of being telemarketers and managing the operational activities of the organized gambling sites.

A number of pieces of evidence, including a laptop, four cell phones, and bank accounts containing transaction data from online gambling, were also seized during the arrest.

The Head of the Resmob Polda Metro Jaya Special Team, Ipda Adira Rizki Nugroho stated in a statement to the media, that the case was uncovered through cyber patrols conducted by his team.

“We from the Resmob Polda Metro Jaya have successfully uncovered an online gambling case involving a website called Mantra Cuan,” said Ipda Adira in a statement on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

After the Mantra Cuan website was detected, an investigation was launched. It turned out to be bingo. Suspicious activity, including the management of a gambling site involving the buying and selling of accounts to support operations, was discovered.

“Based on the results of cyber patrols, we then conducted IT analysis and field investigations, ultimately uncovering the account buying and selling practices,” he explained.

Ipda Adira also stated, that when they were about to arrest them, the two perpetrators were stubborn and made excuses like a bajaj. However, after examining their electronic devices, the two perpetrators finally surrendered and confessed.

“These perpetrators acted as telemarketers and cashiers. Their job was to attract people to play on the websites they managed,” he explained.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the perpetrators managed three online gambling sites with a monthly turnover of hundreds of millions of rupiah.

Furthermore, accounts were also found to be being traded, which were used as a means of transaction by players.

Investigators are currently conducting an in-depth investigation to detect the possibility of an international network involved in the management of these online gambling sites. Meanwhile, the husband and wife, NDF and SP, the two perpetrators in this case, are currently incarcerated in the detention cells of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Resmob Sub-Directorate.
