progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A clandestine lab manufacturing vape cartridges containing the Class II narcotic Etomidate in the Taman Sari area of West Jakarta was raided by Unit 4 of Sub-Directorate 1 of the Polda Metro Jaya Narcotics Directorate on Friday, May 1, 2026, at approximately 7:30 PM WIB.

During the raid led by the Head of Sub-Directorate 1, Kompol Indah Hartantiningrum, a male suspect identified as S (38) was also arrested.

The raid on the illegal narcotics laboratory stemmed from public information about alleged misuse of liquid narcotics at a boarding house located in Krukut Village, Taman Sari District. Following up on this information, officers immediately conducted an investigation and ultimately conducted the raid.

During the raid, several pieces of evidence were recovered. These included 34 ready-to-distribute cartridges, 49 refillable cartridges, 550 empty packages of various brands, one bottle of etomidate seed liquid, six bottles of mixed liquid, PG and ethanol, which could produce approximately 500 cartridges, and several production tools such as electric pans, vessels, insulin, measuring cups, and a press.

Head of Sub-Directorate 1 of the Polda Metro Jaya Narcotics Directorate, Kompol Indah Hartantiningrum said in a statement on Sunday, May 3, 2026, “We have uncovered a clandestine lab for the Class II narcotic etomidate, operated by the suspect with the initials S.”

Currently, the suspect, S, and the evidence have been taken to the Polda Metro Jaya  Narcotics Directorate for further investigation.
