Head of the Polres Kuningan Traffic Unit, AKP Aktuin Moniharapon, along with the Head of the Traffic Safety Unit and his team, conduct the “Police Friends of the Younger Generation” educational program at SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan.

progresifjaya.co.id, KUNINGAN – Aiming to instill a culture of traffic discipline and minimize accident rates among teenagers, the Traffic Unit of the Polres Kuningan conducted an educational program titled “Police Friends of the Younger Generation” at SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan on Friday, October 16, 2026.

The outreach and character-building session was led by the Head of the Polres Kuningan Traffic Unit, AKP Aktuin Moniharapon, accompanied by the Head of the Traffic Safety Unit (Kanit Kamsel) and other Traffic Unit personnel, beginning at 07:00 AM.

During the session, officers provided in-depth instruction on road etiquette, the importance of wearing SNI-standard (Indonesian National Standard) helmets—properly fastened—and information regarding the requirements for obtaining a driver’s license (SIM) for students aged 17 and older.

In addition to road safety education, AKP Aktuin Moniharapon and his team issued a firm warning against the use of non-compliant, loud exhausts (brong exhausts) and participation in illegal street racing. Students were also encouraged to protect themselves against juvenile delinquency, including involvement in motorcycle gangs, bullying, brawls, and the dangers of drug abuse.

Through this interactive outreach, the Polres Kuningan hope that students at SMAN 1 Kuningan will become “pioneers of safety”—advocating for safe practices within their schools, families, and on the road—to help foster a safe, orderly, and smooth traffic environment throughout the Kuningan Regency.
