progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago attended the inauguration of the new National Police Commission (Kompolnas) building at Graha Sentana, Jalan Hj. Tutty Alawiyah No. 2, Duren Tiga, Pancoran, South Jakarta, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The inauguration was marked by a thanksgiving ceremony to officially mark the use of the new Kompolnas office.

It also served as a valid sign of the use of public communication facilities to strengthen the institution and improve the quality of public services.

The new building is also expected to support the implementation of functional oversight of the Polri, handle public complaints, and optimize coordination across ministries and institutions.

Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago stated, that the relocation of the Kompolnas office aims to facilitate public access to convey aspirations and reports related to the police.

 “So that members of the public who have interests or are connected to Kompolnas can come without hesitation. This place is an open space for the public to provide input for improvements to the police and Kompolnas itself,” he explained.

He also emphasized, that the presence of the new building symbolizes the strengthening of cooperation between Kompolnas and the Polri in providing the best possible contribution to the community.

“There is no discrimination. What matters is that we work together to provide something valuable for the benefit of the nation,” said Minister Djamari Chaniago.

Meanwhile, Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, in his statement expressed his appreciation for the inauguration of the new Kompolnas building. He also emphasized Kompolnas’s important role as a strategic partner of the Polri.

He stated, that Kompolnas is tasked with providing strategic policy input and receiving public reports for prompt follow-up by the Polri.

“Kompolnas is a strategic partner of the Polri to ensure that the Polri can truly carry out its duties professionally,” he emphasized.

He also stated, that the Polri requires ongoing input and evaluation to optimize public services.  With the input and evaluation received, the Polri will be able to work better, more professionally, and listen to public complaints and respond promptly.

The Kapolri hopes, that the presence of the new Kompolnas building will further strengthen its oversight function, transparency, and synergy between institutions to maintain public security and order.

“With this new building, Kompolnas is expected to receive more input from the public so that public expectations of the Polri can be realized,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit.

Similarly, the synergy between Kompolnas and ministries/institutions is also expected to be strengthened. The quality of public complaint services and the transparency of public information will improve as part of strengthening institutional accountability.
