A joint patrol by the B Pioneer Battalion of the Mobile Brigade Unit (Sat Brimob) of the Polda Metro Jaya and the Precision Pioneer Patrol (3P) of the Polres Metro of East Jakarta apprehended a young man caught carrying a package of synthetic marijuana.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A joint patrol team from B Pioneer Battalion of the Polda Metro Jaya Mobile Brigade Unit (Sat Brimob) and the Precision Pioneer Patrol (3P) of the Polres Metro of East Jakarta successfully apprehended a youth caught carrying a package of synthetic marijuana on Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo, East Jakarta, early Wednesday morning, May 6, 2026.

Officers detected the youth due to his suspicious behavior. During a search, evidence of the synthetic marijuana package was found. The unlucky youth was taken to the Makasar Police Station for further questioning.

Following the arrest, the team continued patrols to several other locations, including Jalan H Bokir Bin Jiun, Jalan Setu, and the Pasar Rebo flyover. The situation in all these locations was monitored by 86 people. Remain safe and conducive.

In his statement, the Head of the Brimob Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Henik Maryanto stated, that the joint patrols had proven effective in suppressing potential disturbances to public order and security. Public trust has also increased due to the presence of security forces on the ground.

“The action against the youth was part of a patrol focused on preventing street crime and drug trafficking in the East Jakarta jurisdiction. The goal is to provide a sense of security for people who are active at night and into the early morning,” said Kombes Pol Henik Maryanto.

Separately, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto also stated, that the integrated patrols were a preventative and responsive police measure to suppress potential disturbances to public order and security, especially during critical hours. The presence of personnel on the ground is also believed to deter criminals and provide real protection for the community.

“We will not allow drug trafficking or street crime to take any opportunity. Any findings will be dealt with firmly in accordance with applicable law,” Kombes Pol Bhudi emphasized.

He also urged the public to play an active role in protecting the environment.  If you see any potential security disturbances, report them immediately to the Polri’s 110 service for prompt action. This 24-hour service is also a collaborative effort to maintain order in the community.
