progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown has affirmed his commitment to the Boston Celtics. He said he loves the team and, if he were in charge, could play for the Celtics for the next 10 years.

Jaylen Brown made this statement in response to growing rumors of his dissatisfaction with the Boston Celtics. These rumors grew following the Celtics’ elimination in the first round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs.

These rumors first surfaced following statements by NBA legend Tracy McGrady on Cousins’ podcast with Vince Carter. McGrady, who has a close relationship with Brown stated, that Jaylen Brown is deeply frustrated with the internal situation at the Boston Celtics.

McGrady believes Jaylen Brown has demonstrated his capacity as a team leader, especially when Jayson Tatum was sidelined for most of the regular season due to his Achilles injury recovery.  Jaylen Brown, averaging 28,7 points per game, led the Boston Celtics to the second-seeded Eastern Conference title with a 56-26 record.

“I think the frustration stems from within the organization and other things that we don’t know the details of. There’s a lot i’ve heard about going on within the Boston Celtics organization regarding Jaylen Brown. And seeing them without their best player (Tatum), so all of that, i think, contributes to Jaylen Brown and his frustration,” explained McGrady.

McGrady made this statement just one day after the Boston Celtics were eliminated by the Philadelphia 76ers 109-100 in Game 7 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The Philadelphia 76ers advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals to face the New York Knicks.

McGrady’s statement was immediately responded to by Celtics President of Basketball Operations, Brad Stevens.

“Jaylen Brown didn’t seem frustrated when we met. We’ve been together for 10 years. Everyone loves Jaylen Brown,” Stevens said.

Despite the Boston Celtics finishing in the first round for the first time since 2021, Jaylen Brown can safely say this was his favorite season of his career. This season, Jaylen Brown achieved career-highs in points, rebounds, and assists in 71 games.

“You could see all my teammates grow. I could see them overcome adversity as a team. Of course, we weren’t satisfied with the results. That sounds like an excuse, right? But fighting through it, growing, and coming together, this was my favorite season,” said the shooting guard with number 7 on his back is 1.98 meters tall.
