progresifjaya.co.id, BEKASI – Four Bangor teenagers were arrested by a Mobile Brigade (Brimob) patrol team from the Polda Metro Jaya while they were about to brawl in Kalimalang, Bekasi City, West Java. Three sickles, a machete, a golf club, and three motor vehicles were also seized during the raid.
The raid was carried out by Company 2 Battalion D Pelopor, Satbrimob Polda Metro Jaya, in the early hours of Wednesday, May 27, 2026. At the time, the patrol was conducting a sweep of several vulnerable areas, including Jalan Raya Harapan Indah, Jalan Sultan Agung, Jalan Juanda, and the Kalimalang area.
This patrol was conducted in conjunction with the Polsek of West Bekasi to strengthen security in the area during the nighttime hours. These zoning patrols also focused fully on anticipating public order disturbances such as youth brawls, muggings, illegal street racing, and the 3Cs of crime on several main roads and vulnerable areas in Bekasi City.
When the patrol entered the Professor Mochamad Yamin Street area, they spotted a group of suspicious teenagers. Officers quickly moved in and gave chase, eventually apprehending four of the teenagers.
The four teenagers, along with all evidence, were then transported to the Polres Metro of Bekasi City for further processing.
Kombes Pol Henik Maryanto, Head of the Brimob Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya stated in a statement, that his unit would continue to increase routine patrols to create a safe, comfortable, and conducive environment for the community.
He also stated, that the presence of the Pioneer D Battalion personnel in the field demonstrates the Polri’s commitment to providing a sense of security to the community while also preventing potential security disturbances early on.
In addition to conducting anti-brawl patrols, Brimob patrols also monitored several locations frequently used as illegal racing venues and as gathering spots for youths from night to early morning.
“The presence of police officers in the field is expected to have a preventative effect and increase public confidence in security efforts in Bekasi City,” said Kombes Pol Henik.
He also urged the public to participate in maintaining neighborhood security and avoid activities that could potentially disrupt public order.
