Polres Metro of South Jakarta Large-Scale Patrol Seizes Sharp Weapons and Hundreds of Illegal Drugs, Also Arrests 5 Perpetrators

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polres Metro of South Jakarta conducted a large-scale patrol to anticipate public order disturbances early this morning, Friday, May 29, 2026. The patrol targeted several hotspots prone to street crime and public order disturbances in the South Jakarta area.
This large-scale patrol involved 109 joint personnel from the Polres Metro of South Jakarta, the Polsek Metro of Kebayoran Baru, the Polda Metro Jaya Mobile Brigade Corps, the 0504/South Jakarta Military District Command (Kodim), the TNI Military Police (Denpom TNI), and the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP).
The patrol was led by the Kapolres Metro of South Jakarta, Kombes Pol I Putu Yuni Setiawan, and the Commander of the 0504/South Jakarta Military District Command (Dandim 0504/South Jakarta), Lieutenant Colonel Kav I Nyoman Artawan. Also accompanying the patrol were Deputy Chief of Police, AKBP Hendro Sukmono, Head of Operations, AKBP Tribuana Roseno, and Kapolsek Metro of the Kebayoran Baru, AKBP Nugrahadi Kusuma. The Patrol Supervisory Officer (Pawas) was the Head of the Samapta Sub-unit of the Polsek Metro of Kebayoran Baru, AKP Purwono.
At the start of the operation at the Al Azhar Traffic Stop on Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Kebayoran Baru, a vehicle check was conducted in the area. Officers inspected passing vehicles and motorcycles to prevent street crime and other public order disturbances.
At 1:34 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, officers apprehended two motorcyclists who were found carrying two sharp weapons, including knives. Officers also apprehended two underage individuals who were found in possession of red wine.
Another person was also arrested for possession of illegal drugs, including 70 Riklona pills, 563 Alprazolam pills, and 310 Trihex pills. Two motorcycles without proper vehicle registration or other necessary documents were also seized.
During this operation, officers also issued warnings and reprimands to motorcycle riders who were not wearing helmets, not carrying a driver’s license, or whose vehicles lacked mirrors and license plates.
“This large-scale joint patrol and stationary raid is part of Operation Cipta Kerja (Create Conditions) to anticipate public order and security disturbances,” said Kombes Pol I Putu Yuni in his statement.
He added that, this patrol demonstrates the police’s presence among the community to provide a sense of security.
Furthermore, Kombes Pol I Putu Yuni also urged the public to immediately report any indication of public order and security disturbances to the 110 police call center.
“Call 110 immediately if you notice any signs of public order disturbances,” he advised.
