Couple Arrested by Polda Metro Jaya Ditresnarkoba for Distributing Sabu in Palmerah

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A couple with the initials DO (35) and EP (31) were arrested by Sub-Directorate 3 of the Polda Metro Jaya Narcotics Directorate (Ditresnarkoba) for their alleged involvement in the distribution of methamphetamine or sabu in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta, on Friday, May 22, 2026.
The couple’s arrest stemmed from information from the public reporting narcotics transactions on Jalan Keluarga, Palmerah, West Jakarta. Based on this information, officers from Unit 1 Sub-Directorate 3 then conducted an investigation and surveillance at the suspected location.
After conducting the surveillance, they identified the target suspected of conducting a narcotics transaction. Officers immediately moved quickly to apprehend the target, who was on the side of Jalan Keluarga, in front of the Manggis 2 boarding house, Palmerah.
During the search, a package of methamphetamine weighing 6,13 grams, hidden in a paper bag, was found. Additionally, two cell phones, a digital scale, and a plastic clip-on package suspected of being used for drug trafficking were also seized.
“We from Sub-Directorate 3 of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Ditresnarkoba have successfully apprehended a couple identified as DO and EP on Jalan KH Sadang, Gg. Keluarga, RT 006, RW 012, Palmerah Village, Palmerah District, West Jakarta,” said Head of Unit 1 of Sub-Directorate 3 of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Ditresnarkoba, AKP Ari Purwanto, in a press release on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Following the raid, officers then proceeded to the suspects’ residence in a boarding house in the Palmerah area. Officers also seized a cell phone suspected of being connected to the narcotics crime.
“We also secured evidence in the form of sabu, which was placed in bottles and packaged in packages. We also found scales and communication devices used by the suspects,” said AKP Ari.
“This raid was made possible thanks to cooperation with the community who reported it to us. We responded promptly to the report and were finally able to arrest the mixed-gender couple suspected of drug abuse.”
“We also urge the public to avoid drugs, protect the environment, and protect the younger generation from the dangers of drugs,” he added.
