Operation Patuh Jaya 2026 Implements On-the-Spot Ticketing, Prioritizing 10 Violations

Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Komarudin.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – In addition to relying on electronic traffic control cameras (E-TLE), the Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Polda Metro Jaya will also implement manual ticketing in Operation Patuh Jaya 2026. Drivers seen committing traffic violations will be ticketed on the spot.

As a preventative measure to prevent illegal levies (pungli), the Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Komarudin, urged the public to immediately report any officers committing illegal levies. The public can also record their reports as evidence for prompt action.

“Please report any illegal levies on the spot. We’re in the digital era. The public is free to record or video any officers’ erroneous behavior. One example is playing around with tickets. I have instructed all officers not to play around or commit any violations with tickets,” asserted Kombes Pol Komarudin.

He said the public is free to record any such violations. Simply note the name, then capture the footage and send it to the Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate.

“We are committed to taking immediate and firm action. There is zero tolerance for anyone who violates the law or violates law enforcement on the roads,” explained Kombes Pol Komarudin.

He added, that in Jakarta’s busy environment, officers will not conduct stationary raids due to concerns about causing congestion. As a solution, a hunting system will be implemented to enforce the law.

“We, the Polda Metro Jaya, are of course monitoring the situation on the ground. With Jakarta’s density, it’s unlikely this station will be possible. We’re also trying to prevent the operation from worsening traffic congestion,” said Kombes Pol Komarudin.

“Therefore, we will implement a hunting system. Our personnel will be more proactive in reporting visible violations and will be prosecuted on the spot,” he added.

For your information, Operation Patuh Jaya will be held for 14 days, from June 8-21, 2026. A total of 2.798 joint personnel from the Polri, the TNI, the Transportation Agency (Dishub), and the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) will be deployed in this operation.
