progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – To commemorate the 80th Bhayangkara Day, the Polri held the Sewakottama Rastra Banner Purification Ceremony in the Main Meeting Room of the Polri Headquarters, Jakarta, on Thursday, June 25, 2026. The ceremony was led by the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, as a form of glorification and reaffirmation of the noble values of Tribrata, which serve as a guideline for life and the foundation of the devotion of all Bhayangkara personnel.
The Panji Rastra Sewakottama purification ceremony was solemn and full of meaning. The Kapolri carried out three symbolic stages. The first stage involved cleaning the banner using a brush, which signified an effort to eliminate any shortcomings and a commitment to continuous improvement in providing protection, care, and service to the community.
In the second stage, the Kapolri sprinkled water from springs across the 34 regions of Indonesia, which have been unified in Jakarta. This procession symbolized the unity, togetherness, and spirit of dedication of all police officers from Sabang to Merauke in carrying out their duties of maintaining public security and order.
The final stage was the perfume application to the Panji Rastra Sewakottama. This symbol represents the hope that every act of service by the Polri will continue to bring honor to the institution and enhance the love and trust of the public.
After the purification ceremony was completed, the event continued with a prayer and dhikr (remembrance of God) as a form of gratitude to God Almighty, as well as asking for strength, safety, and protection in carrying out the duties of serving the community, nation, and state.
The Head of Public Information for the Polri Public Relations Division, Brigjen Pol Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko stated, that the Panji Rastra Sewakottama purification ceremony was not merely a ceremonial tradition, but a moment of reflection for all members of the Polri to continue strengthening their commitment to community service.
“The Panji Rastra Sewakottama purification ceremony symbolizes the affirmation of the Tribrata and Catur Prasetya values that are the soul of every Bhayangkara member. Through the momentum of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, the Polri wants to ensure that the spirit of devotion, unity, and commitment to providing the best service to the community is maintained and strengthened,” said Brigjen Pol Trunoyudo on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
He added, that the spirit embodied in the purification procession also serves as a reminder that the Polri must continue to improve, strengthen its solidarity, and maintain public trust through professional, modern, and humane work.
“The meaning of each stage of this purification is an invitation for all Polri personnel to continually evaluate, improve themselves, and uphold the dignity of the institution. Hopefully, the Polri will become more precise in carrying out its duties as protectors, guardians, and servants of the community,” he continued.
By internalizing the noble values embodied in the Panji Rastra Sewakottama, the Polri also affirms its commitment to remain a professional, modern, and trustworthy institution, closer to the community, in the spirit of the 80th Bhayangkara Day.
